 EDME 6121-EVALUATION OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

• Currently this is the only course on educational evaluation in the postgraduate programme at the School of Education, UWI.

• The course were once taught by the late Carol Keller, David Subran and myself.

• The course is now reorganized to focus upon three distinct areas: (1) national systems of educational evaluation, (2) programme evaluation and  (3) evaluation models and design.

• Components 2 and 3 are very general and therefore the course is open to students in the social sciences.

• Overall, this new design provides a solid introduction to evaluation theory and evaluation theorists and extends the focus of study to the evaluation of social and health programmes.

• For a select number of students we support thesis work in the area.  As of 2017, however, there are no open spots.
