Week 4-5

Starting October 1st

Begin your Assignment 2 Early

Remember the three future things  to know

  1. Performance of understanding

  2. Formative Assessment

  3. Creating/Adapting Rubrics

Performance of Understanding

Susan Brookhart says ask the following--

  • What can I ask my students to do that will:

  1. Help them master the knowledge content for today’s lesson?

  2. Increase their proficiency with the skills content for today’s lesson?

  3. Use the reasoning process(es) that are essential for today’s lesson

  • Do what I ask my students to do to learn provide them with things to look for in their work to help them self-assess and self-regulate?

  • Do what I ask my students to do to learn provide compelling evidence of what they understand and do not understand.
