Develop a Proposal and then (1) present it to the class and (2) after revision submit a final written version.

  1. Cover Page (Credit and name your team/PLC/Networked PLC)

  2. Table of Contents

  3. Introduction (Purpose, Rationale and Significance-including why question is important to you and your colleagues, how your school will improve. Provide evidence that your team has brainstormed the issue, including video and pictures)

  4. Literature Review/Previous Research (on issue) [discuss main concepts and theories about your issue including current state of the art. Identify implications for your action research based on this review of the research. Provide evidence that your school team or PLC has conducted such a review]

  5. The Study Context (fully describe your setting including the cluster of schools if you plan to work in a network)

  6. Proposed Methodology and Work Plan-(a) Generating Preliminary Evidence and (b) Approaches to Evaluating Actions (include specific details for the conduct of such studies within your institution) [Also explain how you will organize and conduct data collection, analysis and dissemination, including how you plan to share with and involve others]

  7. Proposed Data Collection Procedures (what sort of data will be collected, what instruments will you use in both generating evidence and in evaluation, how will that data be analyzed, present step by step procedures, and timelines for implementation of procedures)

  8. Likely Findings (What are you likely to find?  What have others found)

  9. Likely Evidence-based Plans of Action (What is current best practice and what is the evidence for various actions. Detail the time and resources you need and suggest opportunities for soliciting such resources. Provide evidence that your PLC team has reviewed the evidence based practice on your selected issue)

  10. Conclusions & Implications (for your school)

  11. References
